ASM Notes

Packed house, not enough seats for everyone.

Royalty payments made in arrears (when payments to the SIR Royalty Income Fund were paused from COVID to July 1, 2021) will be complete by July 2022. TBD what fund distributions will look like after that. Calculating the 8% return particularly including the $0.10/unit special distribution may be misleading once the arrears payments are excluded.

As long as people keep dining, the royalty income fund business model is protected by inflation for as long as the royalty pool restaurants keep increasing their prices (which would be better than the alternative of shrinking meal sizes).

Some questions about "will the proposed HST exemption for meals <$20 affect anything". I don't know where these questions were going, since I don't think it's possible to eat at any of these restaurants for less than $20.
