SAND options....

SAND options....

SAND option volumes and open interest are starting to pick up.  Looked at the numbers two weeks ago and I would not  touch them at that time.  Well, on some of the contracts the spreads are beginning to narrow.  One call contract (maybe it was the Dec 12.5) had 1145 open interest contracts.  Another (maybe the Now 12.5C) had 475.  If option interest keeps picking up, options may become a viable "trading" choice.  Also, if the volume gets high enough, we might have LEAPS available in a few months or a year or two.  This is good as a possible play from both the long and the short (as an insurance policy on the common) side.  Oh, the after hours close was at 13.70, +.30 from the regular close.  Every trading day will be interesting as we wait for new announcements and earnings/CC later in the month.  There will be setbacks, but look at the 3-year chart...every moderate setback leads to a new high within a few months.  You can't beat a chart that goes from lower left to upper right.  One last thought: If China is able to impose some new currency basket as the standard (for international trading) the odds are good that the US dollar will decline and/or gold will be part of the new "currency basket."  My gold holding of choice: SAND.  GL
