anyone know what they are charging for this? Sounds like a great add-on and I wouldn't doubt that most school districts will want it but I'd like to know whether it is expected to produce any significant revenue or is it just a marketing tool?

Denis talked about the “Safe Stop App” on one of the webcasts. I don’t remember which one. Some numbers were thrown around. It did appear that there is the potential for Substantial Revenue Growth but not much was said about the cost and profit margin.

For it to be successful it will have to be affordable and more importantly the reliability will have to be “bullet proof”.

The “infrastructure” that an “App” runs on isn’t free and if not robust and the “App” fails due to high demand when it’s most needed (bad weather, storms etc.) the users would be “frustrated” to say the least. For example, it will have to be much more reliable than StockHouse is when the demand is high.

It does look like they are “Piggy Backing” on the same GPS technology / hardware that they have been implementing for “Fleet Management” so that will help.

I have an iPhone and the “Apps” that I use are constantly being upgraded for one reason or another and there is a cost to that as well.

There is certainly a lot of “potential”. Only time will tell how much it contributes to the Bottom Line.
