Stelco increasing HRC prices.will it stick?

Canadian integrated steelmaker Stelco has raised its flat steel prices by C$65/st ($49/st).

The steelmaker made the announcement on 19 June and the gains applied to all products, with immediate effect.

No price minimum was announced.

Its the latest price increase in the North American steel market, following integrated steelmakers Cleveland-Cliffs and US Steelelectric arc furnace mill Nucor, and global steelmaker ArcelorMittal. Prices minimums for hot rolled coil (HRC) were set at $900/st by Nucor and $950/st by ArcelorMittal and Cliffs.
