Here's how the US can fix their oil problem

Here's how the US can fix their oil problem Step 1:  Bernie falls out of his hospital window and AOC falls overboard from her next yachting soiree.  Take a page out of the Russian handbook.

Step 2: Biden tells Alberta that the US will buy X millions of barrels of oil per day from Canada at $Y per barrel for Z years and will open up Keystone and whatever else is needed.  To placate the left who are not shivering from the Bernie and AOC "accidents", Biden can say that the Alberta tarsands need to meet specific CCU standards by specific dates over time.  Alberta will do the math and decide whether Trudeau needs to join Bernie and AOC.

Step 3: The USA sets its own price for oil for America regardless of what the world price is.  If the world price of oil exceeds America's set price, then the US can export to its heart's content after telling Canada to scoop a little more oil out of the tarsands.

Net Results:

1) America creates a competitive environment to support the growth of its economy

2) America becomes an affordable location to relocate foreign energy consuming industries

3) America can slash its defense budget by a trillion dollars per year

4) Canada wins big, not that anyone cares
