You start forcing people to buy one thing there's going to be push back. The Republicans win the presidency and they will crush the EV industry
I got no problem with EV vehicles but don't force me to buy one. Hybrids on the other hand. I would look at one
Agreed
History has shown over and over again that when Governments try to monkey around with the business ecosystem instead of letting natural forces do their thing that Givernments mess things up at taxpayer expense.
As people who follow my posts know, I have an order in for an Ioniq5. The reason for the purchase is simple economics based on my particular driving requirements and patterns.....no need for a subsidy. For others and their requirements the math may not work and an ICE is the best choice.
That said, I do believe that over time, EVs will naturally displace ICEs as battery technology improves and there is greater infrastructure to support EVs. This in turn will benefit electricity producers over oil producers and this why I am more heavily weighted towards electricity producers whose SPs have declined due to higher interest rates and providing more attractive buying opportunities.
