RE:RE:Climate hypocrites

RE:RE:Climate hypocritesMarty...interesting that you talk about plant based food..

We have talked here about China and their consumption of coal etc.  Interestingly, China a few generations ago was primarily a plant based (rice) diet.  Over the past few decades, China has become the largest meat consumer in the world and also a significant producer of meat.

We all know that meat production is much more energy intensive than plant based such as rice,, particularly in China many years ago when the rice production was primarily manual labour with the help of some animals.

Curiously, though, many analysts are predicting a slow down in meat production in China due to constraints on the land available for meat production.  Arguably, though, if they are right about this, we could see increased Chinese imports of meat and the potential for future inflation in food prices around the world.

Something for the yougins on this Board to keep in mind when making investment decisions.
