I am an "old fart". I often say to people that people have three ages...mental age - physical age - chronological age. The least important of the three is the latter. Not to brag but to illustrate the point. I was out cycling today and stopped for an ice cream. Where I sat down there was a Mom and Dad and their teenage son. The son looked at my bike and asked me "When was the last time you were in a bicycle race - you have an amazing bike?" I responded that I hadn't raced since I was 65. He then asked "So when was that?" I told him and he said Holy....." He then asked "How far are you riding today?" I said "125K". He said "OMG".
Long ago, I arranged as part of a business trip to visit my Mom and we went to her bridge club to play duplicate bridge with her. At one point we played against these two women. After they moved to the next table my Mom asked me how old I thought one of the women was. She had remembered every card that was played. I said "I don't know...80?" My Mom responded that she was 97 and that her 50 year old Grandson (who was older than me at the time) drove her to the club and dropped her off and would be back to pick her up!
So for Biden, none of this is about age. It is about mental accuity and we all know that that it won't get better as time goes on.
So if in November people in the US hate Trump so much that they will vote in a person who will need help to simply go to the bathroom like a child then they deserve what they get in my books.
The sad thing is that as investors we need to be concerned about this and prepare for that eventuality.
