Why so much negativity?

Seems like a lot of people aren't happy with the earnings reported yesteday.
I'm by no means an expert on the market(I'm actually less than a year in) however they're showing a profit when a year ago they were showing losses and the profit went up from Q1 to Q2.  Seems to me like they're going in the right direction so why is there so much negativity? 
Is this all just because you didn't get your dividend increase that nobody was really expecting?

Shouldn't the buybacks be doing the opposite since you now have less shares out in the market making the ones out there more valuable?  Basically the opposite of a company diluting shares by selling a bunch of extra to bring in more cash.   Even if they do manipulate to drop the price for the buybacks, that would be short term and there should be a correction afterwards so why ...more

The real question is, who actually wants to own this? Not those who believe the future is electric vehicles and a green economy. Not those who want income (pre pandemic Suncor was a big income stock). Not those who've lost money on a stock that will take years to recover (tax loss season coming up). And last but certainly not least, not those who have lost faith in management. Thats why buying ...more
