and if they raise their divy a few pennies next week when they report that will spell further exodus from SU and further drop in sp

otherwise those looking for divy yield with growth are probably in Chevron 5.3% or Exxon 6.0% ($4.6B profits this quarter)

For all practical purposes, CNQ seems to be the better investment in the space. Except they are not in the same space, since Suncor derives a high portion of its investments in the downstream. Investors still do not know what the downstream profitability will be since there were serious lockdowns thru most of Q2. My hunch is that just as in many other retail businesses re-opening margins will be ...more

Suncor's refining is almost back to full strength Operating at 94 %. Suncor is also like parkland fuel having 1500 ststuons across canada. i work for government and we are all back to work in the office come Sept. Hotels in my city are 100% booked for this weekend. Things are definately opening up.

They already raised it this year. Doubt very much they will raise it again. Just my opinion......
