grrrr...i suck at cutting and pasting on SH......in a nutshell, the author commented that APPL announced today that it was walking away from it ten year multi-billiion dollar attempt to make EV's and repurposing its 2,000 engineers that were working on the project because the math doesn't work ...and BYD (now the biggest producer of EV's in the world has stated that "if you are ...more

Obscure..... don't doubt that Tesla will continiue to be a dominant player in EV space. As has been written about extensively lately, forward oil growth is expected to come from underdeveloped countries.  Developed countries consumption will continue to hold steady (just by sheer pop. growth), even as EV's evolve, as you mention with lower priced models. Good for Warren, always a good time to take some profit and "buy a sweater".  That is a Jim Cramerism, many of you may be familiar with.   The smart money knows that energy is the next thing.  EV's create control over people's ability to move around (GPS location, etc.).  Control the energy and you have a nice vertical integration.
