RE:Adoption of New Technology

RE:Adoption of New TechnologyTo have a rapid adoption of a new technology it needs to be clearly better.

The invention of the internal combustion car was a massive game changing improvement over the horse that resulted in magnitudes of gains in efficiencies we still benefit from today.

The adoption of electric vehicles mostly only has an environmental improvement and some of that is questionable. EV's are still more costly than ICE vehicles so no practical efficiency improvement nor motivation to the average person.

Lots of problems still to be figured out for Electric. Do we have enough raw materials is a very serious question that I haven't seen an answer to yet.

EV’s will be adopted though I doubt they will light the world on fire the way ICE engines did unless there is a massive technical breakthrough to make them clearly the better choice.
