RE:RE:RE:RE:Just Stop Oil Nutters in case so Experienced dunno, politicians do flip flop when the time come.
You should know no countries will meet their emission target they set, right? Why? Coz policy makers won't be around in 20-40+ years but buying virtue votes now worth lying for.
To kick off the flip flop early to the green virtue bandwagon, here are some that fell off the bandwagon:
- Rishi Sunak, Britain PM, has delayed the ban on new petrol and diesel cars in a major shift on green policies. The original plan was to ban people from buying petrol and diesel cars from 2030, but now the requirement for all new cars to be “zero emission” will not come into force until 2035. The prime minister announced exemptions and delays to several key green policies, alongside a 50% increase in cash incentives to replace gas boilers. The government could not impose “unacceptable costs” linked to reducing emissions on British families, he said. The changes come as Mr Sunak seeks to create dividing lines with opposition parties ahead of a general election, expected next year.. Framing the changes as “pragmatic and proportionate”, the prime minister has unpicked several of Boris Johnson’s key policies, many of them launched when Mr Sunak was serving as chancellor

I guess the proof in the pudding will be to see in 10 years (if I am still alive...lol) as the legislation banning new car sales of ICEs is implented where the stock price of SU is compared to other alternatives and TSX.
