RE:Bitumen is the answerforgot to add. Without asphalt pavement, what will EVs drive on, recycled battery materials?
Without oil, what kind of tires will EVs ride on? there are no other material come close to replacing the conventional tires. Fact is EVs still dependent on oil. Only with lipstick and makeup that make EV look like it will replace oil.
Oil is used in tire production for two main reasons. Firstly, oil is used as a raw material, particularly in the form of synthetic rubber, which is derived from petroleum 1. Secondly, oil is used as an energy source in the tire manufacturing process, from powering machinery to heating molds.
Carbon black, one of the most essential ingredients in tire production, is also a petroleum byproduct

Having said that, fossil fuel still hold more advantageous than other form of energy. Anti oilers vilify bitumen, often calling it tarsand. Well asphalt roofing is what most houses have on now, it is horrendously more expensive to put on tile roof, steel roof. Alternate to asphalt roofing, new houses easily would cost extra 5% or more.
Here's a new product that could be sourced from bitumen
