It also wholly owns the Fort Hills Project, which is located in Alberta's Athabasca region, approximately 90 kilometers north of Fort McMurray.

The shear size of the incentives appear designed to distort the marketplace beyond that which is sensible. The size of these incentives alone are beyond any credible limits respected by governments in the past. This is arrogance and raw power on display for all the world to see. Basically Justin Trudeau and company are displaying thier obediance to global interests. The powers that be want to destroy the current economic system and replace it with ???

This problem is not unique to Canada.

What we are observing is a multi prong attack on the pillars of western society.
western aligned governments such as U.S., Canada, U.K., EU, Australia, New Zealand are simultaneosly destabilizing industrial, educational, agricultural sectors in thier respective nations.

I usually try to make money from chaos, but my investing instincts tell me society is near a breaking point.  I hope things break in the right direction, but I am not optimistic.

Sorry to sound so dark :-), but as I said above, these green incentives are not the typical monkey business. Everybody that owns a calculator knows the incentives will damage the current economic system and burden our children with debt, yet the incentives continue and accelerate.

Canada is a beautiful country I love and respect, but if 2025 does not bring new leadership and direction, I will be forced to move my assets out of the country, assuming anything is left to move :-)
