Issuer Bid

SXP bought and cancelled 115k shares recently at prices up to $1.32. Given this activity at Q end, I would guess that the Q went well with the balance sheet improving enough to free up the cash outlay required. Time will tell.

I can see they are currently buying back $3k shares a day.
Comment by CougerMilk on Oct 06, 2020 4:09pm
If their stated target is 5% of outstanding shares, shouldn't the rate of buyback be about twice that?
Comment by 2young2invest on Oct 07, 2020 11:05am
They can buy up to 5%, but there are might be some other limitations, like only certain percentage of daily volume, etc.

Maybe, they are accelerating buybacks, bought 75k+ shares in just 4 days of December. Compare this to 62k in October. We will see in a month when they report, if I'm correct.
Comment by 2young2invest on Dec 10, 2020 11:43am
~52k shares yesterday. Still will be sure 100% when they report.
Comment by 2young2invest on Dec 17, 2020 2:45pm
~300k this month so far, can't wait to see the proof of that. :)

Looks like they are restarting buybacks in February, 42k share in 4 days, was none in January. Will see in March when they report.

Where did you get your NCIB  information from ? I see no new activity on INK Research report. "Looks like they are restarting buybacks in February, 42k share in 4 days, was none in January. Will see in March when they report."

I check buys/sells for the day for Industrial Alliance Securities Inc, SXP use them for buybacks. Let's say yersterday Industrial Alliance purchased 1k0 shares, it can be someone else, but my assumption it is buybacks. Take it with a grain of salt, I was off big time in December, as I saw ~300k shares, but in reality were just 90k.

Wow, they've actually done some buybacks at the end of January, just reported almost 40k shares in 3 days. And I've totally mmissed it.
