RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:This doesn't add up!!!Yes, that's the press release wording but the reality is different. Sylogist pays taxes, incurs interest expenses, capitalizes R&D and now pays stock compensation - all ultimately cash payments. EBITDA no longer reflects cash generated by the company. The cash generated by the company no longer covers the dividend payment.
The decline in the US dollar directly impacts revenue and profit. You can't explain away the lack of revenue and profit by waiving your hand at foreign exchange as it's real. Further more, the impact has only increased since the end of March as the Canadian dollar rises. You can expect a bigger impact in Q3.
Also understand the revenue in Q2 includes $244K from the recent MAS acquisition and about $800K from the InfoStrat acquisition that wasn't there last year. This means the revenue from the comparable core business (before the last two acquisitions) DECREASED Y-O-Y BY 17%! The last acquisition is, at best, only backfilling lost revenue for a $37M cost - a price tag equal 5 1/2 years of profit at the current run-rate.
You can't read the press release and believe the whole story, you need to dig into the financial statments.
