RE:RE:Wow I wouldn't pay any attention to analysts. They are there for entertainment; nothing more, nothing less. They have no idea what is going to happen to a particular stock or to a particular index. That being said, I do think Telus has some significant headwinds in front of it. Particularly, Quebecor's purchase of Freedom Mobile from Shaw has turned it (Quebecor) into a national player in mobile services and this is driving costs down, cutting into the profits of the big 3. I believe this will continue to impact Telus going forward. On the positive side, it looks like Telus International may be starting to gain some traction. Their recently released quarterly report suggests that the number of companies employing them for Generative AI pilots is increasing. Finally, the overall economy will likely cause stocks to struggle for the next year or two. If the Bank of Canada continues to cut rates, the place to be is bonds, not equities. Just my humble opinion. GLTA!
