Sold my shares at $23.10 so that's a $1000 capital loss, which I can put against my capital gains this year collecting a $3636 dividend on Oct 2 i think I did ok for an old guy GLTA

Yep. With a 170% payout ratio, who knows when they cut the divi.

Thanks. Globe and mail calls out 170% ...so, now I need to understand that.

The text says they are 87% outside the 60-75% range objective....so..?..

So... what was the explanation in the second half of the sentence on why they were outside their target range?

It talks about if you exclude what they seem to claim is an extraordinary and one off expense, it is in line. I guess if you exclude things you can make any metric work .

You guys are hilarious with all this analysis. How much time you guys spend wasting time looking at insignificant number. It doesn't take a genius to figure out that this stock never hardly every goes up. If it does move up, within a week it is down 3 times as much. Good luck.

I'm not in the stock. I'm sniffing around here and hoping to catch a bottom to coincide with a peaking rate increase cycle ( i hope) and secure a juicy divi for 2024. Is that laughable?

You kind of funny yourself as you seem to disappear any time the share price rises for a few days. lol

You're hilarious. You've owned a stock for what, 6 months? and you haven't tripled your money. Must be a terrible stock. Looking at your comment history on other boards all you comment is how they suck. Maybe stick to a high interest savings account at 1-2%.
