Got Lucky
Had a 90 day - 4.1% GIC recently mature (Nov 29th), so time to buy some stock as opposed to sitting on the sidelines.
After researching 30 Canadian dividend paying stocks I realized that:
- Telus (which I alread owned) was one of the better dividend payouts 6.24% - Late November
- Analysis average returns for the year ahead were 11.15% - Nice!
- Globe n Mail had one of the highest stock scores of the 30 stocks reviewed (4.62)
So on Nov 30th I added $15K more shares of Telus to my portfolio @23.89! Then the great news the next day!!!
BOOM- MY LUCKY DAY
