The good news is the gov't is set to make 150 mill or so a year in taxes starting later this year (when tax credits are used up) if oil stays near these levels and they get the production back up to the 20,000 plus range.
Thus 150 million dollars a year means even those f00ls should be more than willing to provide the security to secure production. But of course this is Peru.
