How much does Trican make hauling sand? Not much I would bet.
You can have all your equipment running day and night but if you are doing it for big discounts you really are not getting anywhere.
The quipment looking like new might just mean they had a week or shop time polishing up that unit...... as long as they can still afford the polishing materials
Youre missing the bigger picture. This base having all their sand haulers working means that all their frac'rs are working. Fracturing is the bread winner in dollars and cents for the company. Also I dont think you read a word prior on discounts. Ticket prices are written so that even with heavy discountss the company is still profitting.
As far as the like new equipment.. Did you guys fail to think that perhaps Trican was utilizing all that new equipment they bought in 2013. They did just sell 20 of their tractors... Perhaps they realized hey instead of selling at a discount lets make use and retire or put aside some older equipment.. who knows Im not the brains behind the operations but I would probably do just that.
