Teck Resources Limited is a Canada-based mining company that operates in copper, zinc, steelmaking coal and energy segment. confusion chaos ? It's difficult to understand why the Teck's separation vote was cancelled at the last minute at the general mereting. Keevil (the A's) were a yes and it is very hard to believe that 67% of the B's would not support the proposal.

So what was the real reason ?????  the story/exceuse doesn't make sense or add up. It's an indication of poor decision making, a terrible strategic blunder and embarrassing to blow something like this in front of the entire investment community? So - what will they to come up with (if anything) and when. 

Teck’s decision to withdraw the vote is a sign the company isn’t confident its shareholders would vote for the separation (??) in its current terms,
giving Glencore an edge in the takeover battle. ... the company was on track to fall short of support for the plan, which was subject to the approval of at least 66.67 % of the votes ......... class A and class B shares. 

(Perhaps DT jumped in and said WTHFAYD)

No plan B ? starting over from scratch? Maybe having Glencore on the BoD, with a large number of B's in hand,  would move things along ?
