In a couple more weeks, we will have a new year and,,, we will be in H1.
TGZ press releases regarding present and recent past actions are supposed to be made available to shareholders in H1. That said, drill results – And keep in mind, TGZ has already revealed drill results have been successful – will be included in the Company’s Feasibility Study Resource Estimate.
Additionally, reread the following - Found on TGZ website, in News Section
News Release = October 26, 2016
“In addition to the recently completed drilling campaign, considerable progress continues on updating and optimizing the January 31, 2013 Gryphon Feasibility Study. Updates will include a revised process design with updated capital and operating costs. Further metallurgical test work is ongoing to assist in the optimisation of the process design. An independent resource and reserves estimate, which is anticipated to be complete in second quarter 2017, will be included in an updated National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report. The new feasibility study will embed Teranga's extensive operational and construction experience in West Africa.”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although the above is scheduled for release in H1, Q2; I believe it is very likely we will be seeing some drilling results and some discovery news for other TGZ projects first part of H1.

Excerpt from your post
“I would not be surprised to see a takeover bid anywhere in the $1 to $1.40 range sometime in the next 2-3 months.”
The bottom line for a takeover bid is and has been established at C$1.05 + premium; I have explained this in an earlier post.
***More often than not, the best course of action is,,, no action. The best example I can give is as follows; if share price drops, you will not incur a loss if you show some patience and allow the share price to recover; unless you have bought into a dog – IMO, TGZ is not a dog -And as a visual reminder (you already know this, thus just a reminder) look at any chart, for any stock, note the ups and downs***
