“As you are all aware; earnings are the lifeblood of the capitalist system. Will this run to $2 be driven mainly by earnings?”
Please note, my remarks are confined to the mining industry and most importantly to TGZ.
The lifeblood of a mining company’s earnings are assets, i.e. Reserves/Resources. Assets determine a company’s value/worth. Logically, as a company increases its assets and proves the feasibility of producing said assets, the company’s value/worth increases, as does its share price.
TGZ management is and has been intent on increasing assets, ultimately for the purpose of increasing shareholder value. Increasing assets, via drilling/exploring, takes money; it takes money to make money. No drilling/exploring means no expansion or growth and may result in higher earnings (net income) now. Fortunately, IMO, TGZ management has not limited their attention to the here and now; they are also looking to and providing for the future (and specifically for earnings).
While earnings are not, should not be, entirely dismissed; at the present state of growth/expansion investors should be looking at up-coming results of drilling/exploration.
