Those cancers did not go away, they just didn't get diagnosed. Many of those will turn into deaths. That's just one disease category.
The virus is here to stay. We are all-around not living healthily with this virus. The unvaccinated are not using the best tool there is protect themselves. And fear of the virus and lockdown is having equally devastating consequences. Living healthily with this virus in our population involves making the best medical choices, holding on to our values and freedoms that protect us in numerous ways and not living in fear. That altogether probably points to getting your voluntary vaccine and living in an imperfect world where some choose not to.
You probably can't eradicate the virus, you can't eradicate fear, you can't eradicate stupid decisions, you can't eradicate some peoples drives to scapegoating and authoritarianism. You probably just need to steer a path that mitigates against all of them. Public health advise and free, voluntary vaccination are the best bet, nothing more than that.

The vaccine is weak and does not do what it should in providing immunity but you can continue being a sheep and blaming those who dont want it for personal choice or medical reasons.
I choose to live not cower in fear based on poiticians or "scientists" who have changed their stories quite often if everything they say is absed on factual science.
