New PR Announcing Initiation of Basket Trial

Big fat nothingburger of a PR initiating the basket trial. If they're confident - they're really not showing it to the greater shareholder base or the market.

The only new news even though it was expected is that the last 6 patients did not have any serious adverse effects...The rest of the PR is almost old news

At least we know it's done, no issues, and on to the more interesting and informing part of the basket trial. I'll take that. 1.  "..firmly believe" the cell entry is an advantage, so they may have (very speculative) seen data around chemo not going anywhere, thus it must be into the cell. 2. Continue to develop other anti-cancer agents, so maybe they're further along.

So they did it, a freakin PR with no details on phase Ia. Nothing. We are completely in the dark.

They give no data, but at the same time they talk about firmly believing, about advantage, about potential, but they come up with nothing to back that. All we know is that they were able to give 30% more than the MTD of docetaxel alone for one cycle. So nothing there about cummulative toxicity. Sorry, this is not serious. It is join us as belivers in the potential based on test on mice. We will

I think you (and Palinc) need to be careful when thinking about DLT. It doesn't mean no AEs. It means no AEs IN THE FIRST CYCLE. It's a definition used in the hunt for the MTD and RP2D and that's all. It may be indicative of a good safety profile but it's a very limited number of doses and not enough to really make that call. And that's it......????!! After nearly 2 years doing a fase 1a, such a fluff pr to announce the go ahead for fase 1b, nothing more!!  Now we can wait another ......months, knowing in the near future they will do a "O O" again????? Because such a "Chinese" partner is not the best thing, cause the FDA is very wary when things come from that side

 I agree.... It  says nothing about the future....I suppose that risks of adverse effects increase as the number of cycles increase...

You don't have to suppose about the dose for the expansion phase, it's 300. That's a reasonably good outcome. I think Wino said he was relatively confident they would show that. I wasn't given the trouble they had at 420. That's a small win today. It good to try to ask why they didn't give us any more detail today. I have a simple answer. They don't have a clear

That's probably right --not enough patients on long enough and having done the proper scans.  I've relegated learning anything about efficacy to the basket trial a while ago.  I was hoping that with some sort of data around the plasma readings, some safety data, simple things like survivability (how long the longest person was on in 1a), etc... might shed some light on POC issues

And after a quick pop, we are actually trading down even after yesterday's treacherous share price drop and, while not perfect, a positive press release.  I'm glad I voted all my shares against the entire board.

From the trial: “Part 1 (dose escalation): will comprise patients with recurrent advanced solid tumors (all comers) that have relapsed or are refractory to standard chemotherapy, surgery, radiation therapy, and for which no known effective therapies exist.” One of the inclusion criteria is: “Have an expected survival of at least 3 months.” So since they are not sharing much let’s speculate
