Well?

Any speculation on the 106% rally this week? We're just getting significant volume and gains on virtually no news?
Comment by jfm1330 on Sep 07, 2023 3:18pm
Virtually no news? Some were fearing bankruptcy, or Marathon taking them over in some ways. The news about the cash situation pushed those fears away for now. It seems they will be able to do their trial on new dosing with TH1902.

Despite TH's financial status is  my concern, i am glad i bought 10K when THTX was 1 dollar. Now the average is 9.99.
Comment by LouisW on Sep 08, 2023 10:26am
The recent volume is huge, I guess something big is brewing.
Comment by jfm1330 on Sep 08, 2023 10:33am
Yes the volume is huge, but we are still not back to 1 $ CAN pre split.
Comment by LouisW on Sep 08, 2023 10:43am
At least we are approaching maybe next week

Value triggers were pretty compelling at that bottom - market cap a fraction of sales, market cap = cash, cash flow positive (although we're not exactly sure it was just operations that led to that), etc...  Probably triggered a lot of quant/compu trading and not actual PMs researching and fundamentally buying it. Hence; the massive volumes. Now you've got the momentum triggers also ...more

A more accurate term would be a bounce from massively oversold and unjustifiable levels. The dead-cat-bounce term has negative implications that it's not warranted and I don't put THTX in that category given the sales levels and decent probability we see something useful coming in the TH1902 P1 restart trial.

It has me wondering if there is not more going on behind the scenes than we are currently aware of. An unjustifiably low stock price can trigger things into action that were not thought of earlier - both good and bad. On the other hand, it could simply be traders who see the opportunity of a stock price that was unjustifiably crushed by an indiscrimant seller, leading others to think the company ...more

The volume is so enormous that it cannot only be traders. Some big shareholders are exiting the stock and new ones buy at a very low price.
Comment by Drmrgn on Sep 08, 2023 1:59pm
That is not something that drives up share price.  Dumping shares drives down price.  A big investor wanting to pick up shares would do it slowly at lower volumes when the price was under $1 usd.  This is based of potential good news of a stock that has been highly oversold.  Will look like a dead cat bounce only if negative news comes out to cause selling.  This volume ...more

It was announced Monday morning that Q3 adjusted EBITDA to be positive.  That along with the re-start of the TH1902 gave me hope the market cap should be at least where it was 2 years ago.  I know I told all my friends that now is the time to buy this.  They must have told their friends, then they told their friends and so on and so forth..lol.

Market cap from 2 years ago sounds fair to me.
Comment by muslix1 on Sep 07, 2023 3:57pm
what are you doing whit the 4 for 1 split....not fair for me
Comment by Drmrgn on Sep 07, 2023 4:25pm
No kidding.  I bought my first THTX shares in September of '21.  Post reverse split, those show as $16-$17.  That's what it should be now, even if TH1902 trials don't pan out.  They are going to be presenting at HC Wainwright Sept 11-13.  Why would they do that if financials were terrible.  I think executive leadership has to be buying as much stock as ...more

No insider buying, which is so confusing.  These guys are either broke and/or do not understand the market or don't believe in their own abilities.   https://www.canadianinsider.com/company-insider-filings?ticker=TH I'm super happy to see our executive team finally begin issuing press releases with positive headlines to engage the market.  The share price is beginning ...more

Praying for the best for your Dad PWIB. Given the proximity to their earnings release, insiders likely are blocked from trading. If there is a window open for them to trade, it will not be open for long if they are reporting results before the end of the month. The big seller is clearly gone now, so that should help the stock recover. That incessent, indiscriminate selling led many to believe ...more

Appreciate the prayers SPCEO1.  Dad started chemo again finally Tuesday this week, so now we wait and see how he responds.  Prayers are coveted.  This is dad's second time having Stage IV high grade neuroendocrine rectal cancer.  MD Anderson wants him to receive 4 treatment cycles before they reassess to decide if the current treatment regiment should be modified.  MD ...more

My heart (and my prayers) goes out to you and your dad.  I don't like to give advice to people, but I would like to make you aware of something that might help your dad.  My wife tried intermittent fasting while her oncologist was monitoring her cancer marker.  It slowed down her cancer.  Her WBC increased once she stopped the fast and that seemed to slow down the cancer ...more

juniper88 - You're welcome to make all the recommendations you like.  I value your insight from your collective experiences, and wish you did not have them to draw from.  I will pass this info on to my father.

Hi Juniper, It's my last day taking chemo pills in this cycle, after that I will have 14 days off. I will have a scan in the next two weeks, so I will look into it and maybe start trying it in my next chemo cycle. Thanks for the link.

We had done a lot of research on this topic.  There is a lot of disinformation on the internet too.  Like the idea that you can starve the tumors.  That is not what intermittent fasting is doing.  What you want to do is to at least achieve autophacy, i.e., your body start to consume the not so healthy immune cells to be recycled.  Then when you start eating again brand new ...more

Thanks again. I will read more about that to see if I feel safe trying it. I already lose 2 pounds per month since the start of this chemo last March. This chemo is called captem (capecitabine/temozolomide), two old generic drugs and the temozolomide hits quite hard. Also I take the highest dose of somatulin, an analog of somatostatin, which has the opposite effect of GRF or Egrifta. GRF is also ...more

Hi PWIB123 Having neuroendocrine cancer myself, not rectal but ileum, can you tell me which chemo your dad got in 2015, and what he is starting on now? Hope for the best.

jfm1330 - Here's a copy of dad's current regiment.  I don't have access to what he was prescribed the first time, but my understanding is that it included Avastin and two supplemental non-chemo drugs that had names too long for me to write down.  What I remember about the two non-chemo drugs is that the Dr. said they've now learned that they have some nasty side effects ...more

Thanks. So we share one active drug because in my case capecitabine is a prodrug of 5-FU (5-fluorouracil). The prodrug allows to take it orally, contrary to 5-FU that needs to be taken by IV because of its poor solubility in water, like docetaxel. But after it's in the body, two enzymatic cleavages of capecitabine allows to transform it into 5-FU in the cancer cells. Also you are right ...more

Dad was on capecitabine and took it orally for the last 7 years.  I felt like the physician's assistant was a little surprised by how long he had been on it.  While MD Anderson acknowledged that the 3 drugs he's taking again wouldn't have been their initial recommendation, they weren't clear on what they would've recommended.  Sounded to me that neuroendocrine ...more
