Actually, management benefits greatly in the long term if the share price drops in the short run. Then they can just issue options at a low exercise price and just wait for the price of copper to rise. Options are supposed to be an incentive to key personnel that have the power to affect the overall operation of the company and thus the stock price. With this company it is mostly the price of copper and the efficiency of the mine. I don't think BOD members or most vp's have much influence on either.
