The only good thing I've ever seen about winter is hot water. Like boiling hot coffee and soup, like boiling hot showers and baths. Like a nice jet ride to the hot sunny climes.

I had an interesting talk with an incredibly personal young iniut lady at a online bank the other day. She said up in pond inlet, if tgey catch any salmon, they feed it to the dogs. All they eat is arctic char.  I have heard char is the best. They r getting a lot of salmon in the beaufort now. I quit fishing b.c. as fish just quit. Logging quit. Still some farming and oil, gas and hydro

Where I go in AK they feed the pinks to the dogs.  They are fun to catch though.  One of my best memories with my father was catching silvers and halibut all day in Ketchikan.
