What's behind the conflict?

I just watched an interesting video at iceagefarmer .com. It is about the agenda behind the Russia/Ukraine conflict and the impact it is having on shipping. It looks leke massive inflation is coming, food shortages, material shortages, etc. Your thoughts?

Food short was a given before the conflict. Russia, bulgaria and ukraine are the major exporters of food in europe. They r only a month away from preparing for seeding. If ukraine can not get on the fields, that will b a lot of food removed from a hungry world. Russia supplies the world with half its fertilizer extra needs. If cut off and farmers can not produce crops in abundance, that is a lot ...more

firecracker, usually supply chain problems like Russia/Ukraine have a limited impact.  I do agree that this will add to inflation.  However, when there is profit to be made, trade usually finds a way around supply chain problems.  As for a reduction in food supply, Americans are too fat anyway.  We could probably cut our food supply by 20%, and people would actually be ...more
