Taseko Integrety

Just noticed an email announcement dated Feb 03 from Taseko concerning the Sojlitz talks. The jump out word was in confidense. So Sojlitz broke the agreement. NF, you may want to print a retraction

Yep.  When you actually pay attention to the word "confidential" in the press release it is clear that Taseko is telling everyone that Soljitz broke confidentiality. Soljitz did it because they were in a deep hurry to take the tax write off and had to explain the write off to people who were asking questions.  According to the articles back in 2010, Soljitz is the only one of ...more

Probably not miner. The insider report looks like a dogs breakfast. I do not know if that is stock house boondogle or just incompetant management. That word confidence jumped out at me as well. Most business deals are confidential when talks begin. It wouod apear that they had an agreement with a typical break fee or soj would not have wrote 49 mill u.s. off.  Soj did the right thing for ...more

Sigh.  Solitz gave an excuse as to why they were getting out.  One man's excuse is another's clear info. The fact is that there are no pending environmental issues with Gibraltar, which Solitz seemed to indicate exist.  The ore grades for the coming year will eventually be known.   It's a he said/she said situation. one important thing to remember is that ...more

What we know jc. From reserve update many months ago. The new reserves are going to have a much higher c1 than when released mostly because of much higher strip ratio. Soj kept it simple and simply said ore grades were dropping. The last 3 years finantials show lower than expected grades. When the higher strip gets balanced in true grade is less. They could have said c1 was going through the roof ...more

Don't remember that update.
Comment by nofluff on Feb 05, 2023 2:20pm
Does not mean it is not there jc. An hr. of checking updates would be sure to find it. I am just not going to worry about finding it.  I still have 20 thousand shares that I hope will get to 100 thousand dollars by year end. I am sure not emotional or concerned enough to have hissy fits to try to drive price over value and hang unsuspecting buyers out to dry. All the improper reporting on ...more

Not saying it's not there.  I just don't remember it.  I usually pay attention to stuff like that.  I would look but I am traveling today and I am not sure what I would be looking for anyway.  What I remember is you talking a lot about drilling and expanding mine life.
Comment by JCSunsfan on Feb 05, 2023 6:40pm
All I am interested in is the best most accurate info I can find.  I like you but I don't want to just be dependent upon your memory for info like that. anyone else know the report he is talking about?  Any idea where to start looking?
Comment by nofluff on Feb 05, 2023 7:56pm
Jc. I already told u. Just start reading the updates backwards. Might take an hr.. Then u do not have to worry about memory. It is in print.  nf

I'd like to find when Taseko said not only was drilling continuing at Gibralter, but that they might even find the motherload! Not sure whether that was before or after the expanded resource announcement. Might have been during an earnings call.

Wasted hour.  Only talk about improving grades.
Comment by nofluff on Feb 06, 2023 9:25am
I believe it was on one of stus interviews nf
Comment by nofluff on Feb 06, 2023 10:26am
He mentioned that grades would b the same but stripping costs would drive c1 up substantial. Of course that was before inflation hit. If grades continiue to b lower, c1 will go up as well. There is only one fix for low grade. That is high prices.  I believe the motherload comment was from me. I said the far small high grade extender pit could connect to the bonanza.  Happy guessing:)) ...more

If grades are the same, then stripping costs are fuel and wages, etc. That is the same for every business and not Gibraltar specifically.
Comment by nofluff on Feb 06, 2023 12:53pm
Mining has many variables. On op stripping is usually the biggest indivigel cost. Fuel labor  equip buy and repair. It is not just strip ratio that is calculated, but haul depth and distance is big.  We were running at c1 of 1.00 plus when the new resource was brought in. Stu mentioned something like 2.50 u.s. c1 on new resource. With consistant lower grades for some time and inflation ...more

https://youtu.be/1f8CjNh4Vjs This is Stu's most recent interview, at least that I could find.  At the 2:10 mark he says that the c1 is $2.20-$2.30 lb.  Fuel has dropped since November. And copper is up since then.  Every .10 cent difference, either in C1 or copper price is a $2.8 million shift (roughly) per quarter.
Comment by nofluff on Feb 06, 2023 4:20pm
That is what it is. That almost doubled from the dollar plus c1 b4 that. Moving out to the new resource, strip costs will b way higher. C1 will not b pretty q4. The new resource is only viable at higher copper price. Gib will plug along. Tko likely will as well. I am even holding 20 thousand shares myself. Happy holding:)) nf
