SLA - Duty Info

SLA - Duty Info Big meeting Wednesday. Let's see if there is any news. Futures have been softening since Monday but I still would not short it. October 12th or 13 is duty day and I am shipping everything I can across the border to not be exposed to a possible duty issue. Rumours abound that once we hit the date in question the Canfors and the Resolutes of the world will jack their prices accordingly equivalent to the duty. Something else everyone should know and this will be very good for Tembec on the near future is the allowable cut in BC as it is being reduced all over the place. Tolko is closing a mill December 6th because of the lack of fiber. Think about this folks , the Prince George area has several super mills that were modified to increase production to harvest the bug kill. We will see shortly if a West Fraser and or Canfor mill has to close because of the lack of available logs . I will stake my reputation that we see 2 mills close that total production exceeds 600 million feet per year. This is why I am interested in Tembec as they did not have issues of bug kill and their allowable cut has remained consistent. Tembec saw .89 and closed at .91. i believe someone else that has more insight than myself will see value at this price. Lash
