Yo Wineaux:

As of 2/28/2019, the Blackrock Interim Report suggests that The WGF owns 9,184,431 shares. The Morningstar report that you referenced (a/o 11/20/2019?) shows BGF World Gold Fund owning 8,724,163. Just below the BGF World Gold reference, there appears the Black Rock International Gold Fund owning 2,288,333 shares. The WGF and Intl Gold Fund are separate entities and the share amounts should not be compared for comparison. The WGF appears to have 50+ holdings. It would not be unusual to for the portfolio managers to redistribute capital to those companies that appear to have higher near-term prospects. Yep, I believe that Blackrock is selling. Now that they are below 10%, no need to report and SEDI silent.

You are correct Sherm. I pulled the following out of TMAC's own industry conference presentations. They compile the Blackrock ownership numbers based on data from corporate filings.  March 2019 - 14.5M (12.9%) Sept 2019 - 15.2M (13.2%) Nov 2019 - 10.8M (9.4%)

Is Blackrock selling the major reason behind the stock price decline in the last three months? Aug 31, 2019 - 15.2M (13.2%) Oct 31, 2019 - 10.8M (9.4%)   The total share volume in Sep & Oct was approximately 4M or very close to the 4.4M shares they sold off.

Blackrock has sold over 3M shares since July 31st, 2019. I found something on SEDAR from Nov 8th. My guess is that when TMAC delayed month end financials last quarter, Blackrock (BLK) sold some shares and had to file an Alternative Monthly Report because they are an insider?  2.2. State the date of the transaction or other occurrence that triggered the requirement to file this report and ...more
