Stumped by traffic

Living in T.O., if everyone is working from home why is the 401 and DVP still jammed during rush-hour even worse than pre-covid. Where are all these people coming from if there's supposedly all working from home?

I see it in the KW-Cambridge-Guelph area too. Roads are just packed starting at 2:00 in the afternoon, with rush hour often not ending until 6:30. Google Maps shows red on every major road. Are these shoppers? Or parents picking up their kids from school? My sense is the majority of people here have quietly returned to the workplace, so the notion that office buildings are empty and will remain ...more

I think the most detrimental aspect to office is not the work from home trend but companies trying to save dollars to turn a profit during imminent recession. Some companies I follow on the ground just sublet for this reason  otherwise would have liked to kept the space for gatherings and meetings and such as most like to keep an option for employees. it seems like they want people to believe that office buildings are empty, but it's funny that TNT reports an occupancy rate of 93%. Does 93% any close to being empty? It almost looks like it was an organized attack against office REITS in order to steal shares from current shareholders.  The big transfer of wealth continues.
