Due for a market correction

I believe we're very close to a general market downturn of 15%-20% and that should provide an opportunity for buybacks under $9 again.

I have to disagree, IMO TNT is setting up for a nice pop on and after the quarterly earning tomorrow. I believe AFO will be excellent with a full quarter of resigning of many new lease agreements and continued high occupancy, over the back half of 2023. As well, a much reduced float (due to buy-backs) will improve the earning per share in addition to positive annoucements on both a new ...more

I haven't run the numbers but I don't expect tbe  uptick in AFFO from share butbacks to be material - yet. "Doesn't matter what the US does" Unfortunately, in the real world it does. If the Bank of Canada lowers interest rates twice while the USA does not (remember they have an election later this year) it would result in a lower Canadian dollar .... leading to inflation on everything we import.... and that leads to interest rates going up again.  Nobody wants that.

If the Bank of Canada lowers rates and within a few months the US does the same it won't matter. I work in supply chains we have over 12x weeks at current exchange, it doesn't affect costing on USD imported goods for 2-3x months or more. If its longer than that I agree we could see some price increases but I doubt this will lead to rate hikes in Canada.  If the US increased rates and ...more
