Yes there has been heavier than normal volume i was simply replying to your original post that these volumes were done on just a few trades. I was simply saying the volume was done over many trades

The fact is there are some much larger than normal volumes of shares changing hands. The average daily shares traded is 2.4 million per day. May 3 - 13 million traded, May 6 - 8 million, May 10 - 9.2

If you are going by the graphs on volume here on SH, they are not acccurate compare those days with the volume charts o yahoo finance, you'll see a much different breakdown

3 days in last week the first trade of the day has been significant. May 6  - 3.3 million, May 10 - 7.1 million and May 13 - 3.2 million for a total of 13.6 million shares traded in 3 trades

I invest in dying businesses all the time.  They pay the best dividends as they die. I own cigarette companies and coal miners and have previously owned yellow pages etc.
