Carson C. Block
Professor Carson Block is an adjunct faculty member of the Chicago-Kent College of Law,teaching in its overseas program in Shanghai. Previously, Carsonpracticed law in Shanghai for Jones Day. At Jones Day, he primarilyrepresented foreign clients in foreign direct investment and merger /acquisition projects in China. He also advised the Shanghai 2010 WorldExpo Committee on sponsorship agreements.
Currently, Carson is pioneering the introduction of self storage in Mainland China through the company owns, Love Box Self Storage. He is also the founder and owner of ChinaPrimer.com (www.chinaprimer.com).ChinaPrimer.com is a website that helps Western small and medium-sizedenterprises save money and minimize risks when entering China. Carsonco-authored the popular Doing Business in China for Dummies (John Wiley& Sons 2007).
Carson has a Juris Doctorate with High Honors from the Chicago-KentCollege of Law, where he was selected to the Order of the Coif, the MootCourt Honors Society, and the Law Review. He holds a Bachelor ofScience in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Businessof the University of Southern California. Carson is qualified topractice law in the State of New York.
