I've been a member since 2000, n should be allowed to voice my opinion on how rotten  our securites commissions are if you can call them that; protects the little guys from these cheap take overs!!! So it's my hope you won't take this post down like my previous post. UNKLAL

Unkal, as feared the "wink wink" if this goes through you can  negotiate a dissent and settlement with us later potential came to fruition.  If Pentwater and Sailingstone had voted NO instead of abstaining (I'm assuming that's what happened today) then the offer of an upfront payment of part of the bid price plus "you can dissent if you want to" wouldn't

Thanks again Gent for your thoughts!!! I'm just so fed up with the way minority shareholders get wacked in Canada because of the ways these large internatioanals can skirt our securities commissions. However, I'm with you on ETG, I have a boat load of their shares, Mom n I will pray for a triple on the ETG shares to make up for the sc rewing we took on the TRQ saga. UNKLAL

Yup, Unkal, it's still high stakes poker but the outlook is so much more positive for ETG negotiating a resolution to the long standing issues around the JV  now TRQ is almost surely a wholly owned sub of Rio Tinto.  For ETG yesterday was somewhat perversely a very very good day.  Market may not understand it yet, but that's what a few of us old timers have been chewing on
