La Presse in Montreal

La Presse in MontrealThe Globe and Mail says in their business section this morning ( The Toronto Star doesn't mention it of course ) that La Presse is letting go of 37 people out of a work force of 550 . Now that they are NOT printing The Toronto Star anymore ( Transcontinental Printing does that ) , what is the work force at Torstar and why . I don't care if they have a million people working for them as long as they are making money . " La Presse is now working on how it will ask readers , but in the form of voluntary contributions " . ( donations ) . I happily support " The Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund " but I would never donate to pay the salaries of The "A " shareholders and directors and the management who works for them . What have they done for us poor non voting " B " shareholders recently ? If you haven't looked recently , we are now trading at a buck ( 75 cents U.S. ) and looking lower .
