Top 50 Small Business List

Top 50 Small Business List

I was relieved to read in their press release announcing FY2012 earnings that the company has been named one of the Top 50 Best Small and Medium-Sized Employers in Canada for 2011.  I'm thinking of running a contest for the Top 50 Small Companies in Canada for Destruction of Shareholder Value.  You folks get to nominate candidates and vote.  Limit 3 companies per person (Lorne/Swine can only vote once).

Am I losing patience with their failure to meet business commitments?  Yeah, a bit.  Before I retired, I worked for a Dow-30 company.  We had annual performance reviews of our written business commitments.  Failure to execute got you put on a Performance Improvement Program which lasted 30 days.  Most likely at the end of that time, you were separated from the business.  I intend to ask at the AGM whether the company uses written performance appraisals.
