Telesta's market-maker (currently Latimer) fills these trades out of their inventory to keep people like me from wasting my time with odd-lot fills. Otherwise I would be forced to put in more orders to round off my purchase to a board-lot, thereby incurring another commission charge (for me, $9.99 per trade).
