Some reactions of NMIBC patients here:

Possible advancement in treatment of NMIBC

Telesta Therapeutics applied for a license from the FDA for their therapy, MCNA. MCNA is Telesta's novel biologic immunotherapeutic for the treatment of high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer patients who have failed first-line BCG therapy.

If only they could find something comparable for those who are not able to have immunotherapy......

Hopefully, this new procedure/treatment, will be approved by FDA for general use quickly.

What is the usual time for approvals to be granted? I know their application for orphan drug status for MCNA was declined in Dec '14. When should we expect to see the answer to this application? There must be plenty of stats on this.
There might not be stats on the second obvious question. How long after approval might this agent actually become available?

Would be nice if it works for all ! I was offered a clinical trial yesterday by my urology firm I'm using they have 7 locations here in San Antonio they use a drug called Erlotinib which is already on the market for matastic lung and pancreatic cancer they want to try it on T1 and higher BC. The immediate problem for me is it is a double blind study so you could get a placebo in other words 1/2 get real pills and the other 1/2 get fake pills. I told them no thanks on a 50% death sentence however they do a turbt promptly on the 16th day I am just starting BCG and don't think I can afford to wait 16 days plus another 30 to heal from turbt. But it may be information someone else can use if so it's recruiting now in several states. Too bad everyone doesn't get the meds!!

Hope the FDA approval/license comes quickly! This could benefit so many in the BC community.
