sale of animal health

Hi all. I am wondering how much we are all expecting to get for the sale of animal health?

I see in their last quarterly that revenues were around 8 million and profits around 1.8 million, which would annualize to $32 million and $7.2 million profits. I have also seen others posting that the animal health revenues have a 50% gross margin. Does this mean that the ebitda would be around $16 million per year? that would be about double the profits and would be consistent with other industries for ebitda to be double accouting earnings.

I am not clear on this info and am doing my dd.

Are we expecting 30-40 million for animal health? 50-60? 70-80?

And how much debt does BNC have? i have heard in some comments that it is $40 million and in some that it is $60 million. Can anyone clarify?

thanks to all in advance!

Superstar. Expect to be called a basher shortly. Anyone new asking any questions gets branded with a scarlett swath around here. What we do know. Our revenue was about 32mm last fiscal year. Our latest quarter was pretty good showing 17% YOY growth. Animal health transaction are done between 3 and 4 times revenue. Zoetis Traded up to almost 5 times revenue just after the transaction closed. I was ...more

Thank you beechguy that was very helpful. does the $22 million in cash include the $9 million in proceeds from the recent .29 financing? Do those provincial government loans need to be paid back or are those typical development loans to intellectual companies from government that often do not have to be repaid? Any idea what the ebitda is for Animal Health? thanks again for the ...more

Superstar...I expect Bioniche to announce, by this time next Friday, that they were unable to come to agreeable deal terms and formally end the AH sale process. Like the Uro trial failure, Endo partnership dissolution, pair of pay day loans and absurd dissolution that they tried to package as wins by the company, this further complete failure will be sold to shareholders in the same ...more

SS BNC is cash flow negative with the chance to hit the home run if everything works out. However from 1999 until we bottomed at .18 it was one ugly ride. If your one of those lucky souls that buys near the bottom then we are very happy your here. As NHZ states BNC has a habit of tripping near the goal line. May this time be the one time everything works out. HT

Zep, it's difficult to argue your analysis based on the performance of the former management. This is what I heard at the AGM, if there is not a good offer (apparently there is a whisper number) on the table AH will not be sold. They would continue to push AH sales and introduce new product to increase sales, good will and ultimately value until a suitable offer is received. I am ...more

Zep, I completely agree with your opinion on the ongoing sale of the Animal Health process. Not so sure about your opinion on time lines however, but I do agree, they will announce they were unable to reach an agreement and of course put a positive spin on it. I think the share price and volume clearly indicate that to me. I will agree however, there does seem to be an someone wanting the price to ...more

The market is saying were going to sell AH for 110M and Urocidin and the VMC are worth zero. Until the VMC starts making money it is a lot of scrap stainless with a cost of carry while the value of Urocidin pre a FDA thumbs up covers off the negative value of the VMC. Post a positive FDA and some positive news on VMC we get a price pop. It is still a coin toss not a sure thing, so don't bet ...more
