Hmm.   If we destroy the ability for genes to mutate, do we also stop the evolution of the human species right in its tracks?    People on here said that stopping genetic mutation was IMPOSSIBLE.   I doubt it.   You just don't know how yet

It is impossible to prevent what you call 'mutation' - you can't stop random acts of nature during chromosomal matching and DNA repair at fertilisation.  That is all a 'mutation' is. Evolution is the change over time of the relative proportion of different mutations for the same coding gene in a population. This is often driven by the environment. So yes, you are right,
