That is the quagmire in the States isn't it!! Not enough Gov. dollars going to AD at all. The current AD Drugs only help the memory a bit in a small percentage of the patient population. They do nothing to help with the cause. Still I doubt that they'll get away with what has been proposed.
AZD-103 has such Compelling Pre-Clinical Data that Transition Therapeutics scored a $200,000,000.00 WorldWide Collaberation with ELAN with $15,000,000.00 UPFRONT. NOW PAID UP TO DATE!! Another $10,000,000.00 IS coming at the Start of the PHASEll Trial.......now not so far away at all.
AD sufferers are a desperate lot.......it's a terrible terrible disease.
