Aricept fails to slow progression of AD

Aricept fails to slow progression of AD Researchers conclude Acetylcholinesterase inhibitor drugs are unable to slow progression from mild cognitive impairment (MCI) to dementia. https://www.alzforum.org/new/detail.asp?id=1699 Like we didn't know that..... These AChEIs are the current drugs with wide spread Rx use such as Aricept---Exelon---Reminyl---etc. https://www.cnsforum.com/imagebank/item/Drug_neostig/default.aspx These are drugs with only a Symptomatic Labelling and do not slow progression of the disease but just helps memory a bit for a short period of time with a suspect risk/reward abstract from a safety point of view. MCI a tough Indication to target but lots of studies and precedents for Transition & ELAN to sift through whilst researching for their AZD-103 Phasell in MCI or Pre-Alzheimers as Dr. Cruz calls it.
