I don't know whether Trevali have properly silo'ed off that mine from the rest of the company, but, if they have, the best-case scenario may be for that subsidiary to just declare bankrupcy and abandon the mine completely. They'll likely have to take a loss, but it'll avoid the future liabilities that might be incurred.
