There is currently a permitted 400-tpd mill on site at Huampar (that can be expanded to at least 600-tpd under the existing permit). Advanced studies were undertaken to evaluate expanding Huampar production to the 1,000-tpd level.
Caylloma started production in 2006 at 700 tpd and has increased throughput to approx. 1200 tpd.
Historic metal recoveries at Huampar are 93.5% for silver, 91.8% for gold, 94.2% for zinc and 96.7% for lead. At Caylloma the latest reported recoveries are 82% for silver, 87% for zinc and 92% for lead.
Caylloma is on track to produce approximately 1.7 million ozs. silver, 20 million lbs. lead and 23 million lbs. zinc in 2011.
At 1000 tpd Huampar could produce approx. 1.8 million ozs silver, 11,000 ozs. gold, 20 million lbs. lead and 22 million lbs. zinc per year. (assuming 20% mining dilution and historic metallurgical recoveries).
