That's exactly the current central banking thinking! They've been hosing the markets with cash repeatedly since 87. "Injecting liquidity" they like to call it. Sounds more scientific and banksterish than 'we don't have the slightest clue what the repeated influxes of cash will do tomorrow but it will halt the market selloff today'.
The punchline to that old joke goes 'and we have successfully prevented nine of the last five recessions'.
They really do think that way.
But, not to worry, as this corona recession pandemic hysteria spreads as exponentially as the virus that named it we have ensconced at the helm of the white house to deal with it the most stable genius of our time.
